Weddings

Weddings at Crestwood sparkle in all seasons. In the winter a sleigh can be the means of transportation for the entire bridal party. The 1895 Chapel can be the venue for a candlelit service. A Valentine's or springtime wedding, before the weather cooperates a Garden wedding is beautiful in the Greenhouse Conservatory The lounge and it's mahogany bar and comfortable club like atmosphere is ideally suited for a cocktail hour and up to forty guests for dinner. There is a musician's loft and dance floor in the room that is the original barn from 1895. The Grand Salon can seat 90 guests in Georgian Elegance. Brides delight in selecting every kind of table, covers, linens and chairs imaginable.

The Entire estate is customized for your event. There is never more than one wedding a weekend at Crestwood. The Pavilion is reserved for the bride the night before or after the wedding along with the day of the event. Our menus are as varied as our guests, from Haute cuisine to Kosher, our fusion combines and blends your traditions and those of your personal preference. See what others have selected from our sample menus.

Occasionally a bride has a gown emergency. Pamela Moore, bridal expert and couturier is located in Brattleboro, VT just one half hour away. You can reach her at 802.254.3626

By the middle of May, tents in a myriad of sizes, shapes and colors rise from the lawns. The largest tent we've had so far held 650 guests. Busses are often used to transport the guests directly to their hotels. There are over 500 guest rooms within a half hour of Crestwood.

The Chapel Garden is often the site for an outside service. The brick surfaced elevated garden has a commanding view of the Green Mountains. The Tea House appears to float when you first ascend the brick stairway. Masses are spectacular outside. The largest for 350 was a moving event on a clear and warm autumn day. The garden is planted with mostly white flowers, many of them are in massive terra cotta pots.

The Historic Chapel built in 1895 is simple and stately. It holds up to 50 and features dramatic arched windows and mirrors, oak floors and a white marble foyer with black marble fireplace and Victorian decoration that is accented by the sunflower motif.

A 1920's High Pergola covered with wisteria vines, is a dramatic garden feature and serves at the traditional flower covered Chuppa for a traditional Jewish service.
It has been our experience that with some extra perservance and a bit of paper work, special arrangements for almost any religious service can be arranged.

The mountain top, Salon, and Fountains are also often choices for wedding locations.
